Bladder Control and Incontinence

Stop those embarrassing leaks and restore bladder control

Bladder leaks or Incontinence comes in several forms, typically referred to a Stress, Urge or Mixed Incontinence. Then there’s Nocturia.

Stress Incontinence refers to the embarrassing leaks that happen when you cough, sneeze, laugh, run, or lift your child or a grocery bag.

Urge Incontinence is the accidental leak of urine that happens when there is an urge to go to the bathroom. It can mess up social plans and make it difficult to venture any distance from a restroom.

Mixed Incontinence refers to a combination of the two.

Nocturia refers to the condition of waking up during the night to urinate. When nocturia becomes frequent, it can become impossible to get a good night’s sleep or to function normally during the day.

HOW IT WORKS

In the past there have been Kegels, pelvic floor therapy, vaginal estrogen, and of course, pads and diapers.

Today, we have VTone, Forma V and Morpheus8 V.

VTone is an electric muscle stimulation (EMS) device for the pelvic floor. It is designed to provide neuro-muscular re-education directly to the pelvic floor, so that you can better control bladder function and prevent embarrassing leaks from occurring when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exert yourself.

Forma V uses radio-frequency to stimulate elastin and collagen in the vagina, improving elasticity, moisture and tone. Together with VTone and Morpheus8 V, this treatment helps improve your tone and control of the entire pelvic area including bladder control.

Morpheus8 V uses radio-frequency in combination with micro-needling to stimulate elastin and collagen in the vagina. Patients experience dramatic improvement in elasticity, moisture and tone, which in turn aids in restoring bladder control.

These devices are highly effective in combination or on their own depending on your concern. Together, these treatments combine EMS (electro-muscular stimulation) with Bipolar Radiofrequency and Micro-needling for the most powerful improvements

What our patients are saying

“Last week after my treatment with VTone, I was able to jump rope at the gym for 20 minutes. Previously, I would have had to run to the bathroom after just 2 minutes. It was really worth it. I can do so much more now!”

FAQ

I’ve heard several people mention headaches going away after treatment or seeing improvements in mental acuity. Can you explain that?

Nocturia, or frequent nighttime urination, can be extremely disruptive to normal sleep patterns. When sleep is disrupted night after night due to nocturia, headaches are a common side effect. Some people, particularly older women, can experience confusion and diminishing awareness from sleep deprivation that results from nocturia.

By using VTone to help eliminate the constant need to use the bathroom during the night, headaches and confusion can disappear. Much greater comfort and awareness is restored.

How many treatments does it take?

The number of treatments we recommend depends on several factors including your age and the number of pregnancies you may have had. Typically we see impressive results after 2 to 6 treatments.

Does it require anesthetic?

No, it doesn’t. The power of the EMS (electro muscular stimulation) is variable in extremely small, incremental steps, so it is easy for us to ramp up the power very gently, making sure you are completely comfortable every step of the way.

Do you have to be menopausal to do the treatment?

No you don’t. It works for anyone who is 20 years old or older. We’ve had remarkable results for patients in their 30’s and 40’s and on into their 80’s.
